Friday Link up

Wow where dose time go, I am so thankful its friday but man it was a quick week!!

1) I am so excited to share with you that Lily Jane's bedding came in :) I was so excited right away I had to wash the sheet and put it on her crib ASAP.. Here are some quick photos of it. More photos of the nursery to come as soon as it is done

2. This past weekend we went to a friends wedding in Orlando and we had a great time. Jeff took off Friday and I had a teacher planning day that I took off. We got to wake up whenever we wanted and take our time getting down there and shop and spend time with each other.. Car rides are getting hard because I am getting very uncomfortable ;( and long nights...

3.We are taking maternity pictures on Sunday and I am so excited. I hope they turn out good. Its starting to get cold so I have to rethink my outfits. Here are some ideas I like...

4. I have always had a sweet tooth but during my pregnancy I have craved sweets all the time.. I came across these and I can't wait to make them so I wanted to share :)
Crazy Gooey Cookie Bars
Prep time:
Cook time:
Total time:
  • 1½ cups of brown sugar
  • 120 gms of butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup of plain flour
  • 1 cup of self raising flour
  • 1 cup of mini marshmellows
  • 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • ½ cup of candy covered baking bits.
  1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius (approx. 350 F) and grease and line a 20x30cm baking dish or tray.
  2. Cream butter and sugar with electric beaters, add vanilla, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  3. Add the flour and mix well with a wooden spoon.
  4. Set aside a handful of chocolate chips and baking bits to sprinkle on the top, add the rest to the mix along with the marshmallows and stir through.
  5. Press the sticky mixture into the baking dish, spreading it out as best you can. Sprinkle the left over chocolate chips and baking bits over the top and press them in lightly.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until it browns around the edges. Do not over cook! The middle will still be soft and gooey when you take it out. Let it sit in the warm dish to finish cooking.
  7. Wait until it is completely cold before slicing into ooey gooey pieces

5. I just want to vent for a few minutes. I was watching the news and can't believe what this world is coming to. A poor young teacher was murder by a 14 year old student with a box cutter. I was very sad by this. As a teacher it is so hard to know all your students in and out and to think that any of them would do this to a teacher makes me very sad. I will be thinking about the teachers parents and family.

Weekend Recap!

This weekend was a lot of fun but so tiring. We went to Orlando for a friends wedding and to do last minute shopping for the baby, because we don't have Pottery Barn Kids near or IKEA :)

First we went to IKEA to get picture frames to do a gallery wall above her dresser. Here are some of the frames we found. We also got just got some regular white ones too. I can't wait to put the wall gallery together. I am scared on how to go about it. I have found a lot of other bloggers that cut paper out and lay it on the wall with tape or lay them on the ground. ANY Thoughts?

Also, on Saturday before the wedding we went to a little restaurant to watch all the football games at 12.My Husband was so excited that TN beat SC... They needed this big win.....

Five on Friday!

I am so happy that it is Friday :)

1) Today- Friday started off great because it is a Teacher Planning Day so I took the whole day off :) We are going out of town as like our last trip before the baby comes, kind of a BABYMOON!!!

2) On Saturday FSU plays Clemson one of the biggest games for FSU. It will be tough for FSU but I hope they can pull it off. They are playing at Death Valley at night so I know it will be tough for them... I wish I was going but I don't think at 32 weeks pregnant that I will be making the trip there.

3. This week I made a yummy buffalo chicken croissants for dinner and it was a winner :)

Shredded buffalo chicken with cheddar cheese in a croissant!! Bake the chicken first at 375 for about 25 min. Then shred about three boneless chicken strips in a bowl add hot sauce, ranch, cream cheese, and cheese mix together. Then put chicken on croissant  bake for 11 min at 375*

4.  I think I found a diaper bag.... The winner is the Petunia Pickle Bottom Backpack.. Has anyone ever used this backpack???

5. Where I live this week they had a One Week Boutique where all the moms around town can sell their gently used Baby gear and clothes and make some money. It is always a big hit, with thousands of thousands of items for sale. This sale I scored a Baby Bullet. I hope that I can make Lily Jane some baby food when she gets to that point. My mom always use to make my food when I was little. How hard could it be right??? Has anyone every used this before?

Weekend Recap!!

I can't believe it is already Sunday.. Where did the time go? I feel like my weekends keep getting busier and busier with trying to get everything ready for our sweet little princess. 10 weeks to go... I also have this thing called "Baby Brain" that I swear I would not get but man I can't remember anything and I am always forgetting things.. This weekend I went out shopping to look for a frames for Lily Jane's nursery. I want to do a white ornate wall gallery above her dresser. Dose anyone have any ideas on how to put a wall gallery together, that is the hardest thing.

Here are some frames I found that I want to put glass in, and some without

Also, my husband is a huge TN fan and the TN vs.GA game was a very good game. I am sad that they lost but they played a tough game and did a great job.

Also, I made this cute cake carrier for a friend at work. I love doing crafts and monogramming anything ;)

I hope that everyone had a great weekend!!

5 on Friday!!

I love Friday's because not only does it mean that it is the Weekend but I get to post my 5 on Friday!!!

1) October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! Please remember to do self checks once a month and go to the doctor if you feel any lumps.  I have several people I know close to me get diagnose with Breast Cancer and most of them have been very lucky and are cancer free. It's important to educated everyone!!! Today we painted the town pink and everyone in my school and county was suppose to wear pink today!!

2) I love Fall air freshers. I went and bought some Apple Cinnamon ones and I can't wait for the cinnabon scent to come out.....

3. I got some really cute outfits at my shower last weekend!! I can't wait to dress Lily up. Girl clothes are so much fun!!!!

4. I just found out that JCREW now has a BABY line!! I am so excited.. I have been eyeing some items...... I might get her some Christmas gifts

5) Before I was pregnant  I had thyroid problems but my levels were stabled that they were not concerned. When they have been doing my blood work while I have been pregnant by levels have been crazy. This week I went to the endocrinologist and they said there is nothing they can do right now that I am pregnant but once I have the baby they can really figure out whats going on. I am hoping it is not much and they can just give me medicine and I will be ok. I am doing my research on Hyperthyroidism now and making sure I am educated. Has anyone ever had problems with Hyperthyroidism
