How many mommies out there have husbands that travel for work? My husband has to travel not all the time but a couple times a month. He sells insurance so he has to go to conferences and visit clients. I sometimes get very jealous and envy that he gets to leave and eat really nice dinners and not have to wake up in the middle of the night and he gets to have him time... But then I think God would not put us in these situations if it did not make us stronger. I have learned to not be envy of him but to be proud of what he is providing for our family. I get upset because I have to take care of Lily Jane all by my self, I have to do it allll.. but then I think my heart goes out to single moms or ones that husband travels all the time. I have to take a step back and be very thankful for what I have even at moments like this. So this week will be a challenge (Jeff is traveling all week) as I have to take Lily Jane to daycare, I go to work and then go pick her up, do dinner, do baths and bed time all on my own. I feel that GOD will give me the strength this week and help me get through this. This week my house will be a wreck and I don't even care.. I love being a Mommy and we will get through it even if we all look a mess. I hope everyone has a wonderful week!!!!
This little girl keeps me going!!!!!
Girl I hear ya! I don't know how single moms do it! My husband doesn't travel but when he was in grad school I did a lot on my own because he went to school at night. It was a challenge but we made it through! Prayers for you this week!
ReplyDeleteThanks girl!! We hope it goes well. I will be going to bed at 7 lol
DeleteWhat a cutie!! My husband and I both have to travel probably about 7-10 times throughout the year. It's so hard! Since I have to travel myself, it's so hard being away. I struggle a lot with mommy guilt, so traveling makes that even harder!

Thank you ;) I bet its hard with both of you traveling.. You are an amazing mom though :)
DeleteI know what you mean. Single moms are super women in my eyes because I don't know what I would do without my husband and his help. He doesn't travel much, but there are days when he does, and I'm left to do it all. I love my daughter to the moon and back, but I am exhausted after a full day with her. And yes, things don't always go right during those "alone" times with her, but at least the attempt is there right? Wishing the best this week. Your daughter is adorable, and I'm sure you'll have a great time with her :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.. We are praying it goes well.. I will be going to bed very very early!!!
DeleteGood luck this week! I've been lucky that my husband (who used to travel once a month) hasn't traveled at all since our daughter was born, and I'm not looking forward to that day when it does come. I hope the week goes by quickly for you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I needed this! My husband is traveling for work next week and we have a 3 month old. I was getting very nervous. I know God will give me the strength I need! Thanks for this post!
